Fractional GM & Operations Partner
Part-time and contract operations support for owner-led construction, trades and property businesses. I plug in like a partner, fix the systems, and keep the business running so you can stay where you're actually needed.
No pitch on the first call, just a conversation about what's actually going on. Or ring me on 027 521 8827.
You're doing real revenue. You're also still the one answering the phone, chasing the invoice and fixing the schedule, usually at night after a full day on site.
Jobs price up fine on paper, but the money isn't there at the end. Nobody can say exactly where it went.
Enquiries sit unanswered while you're on site. By the time anyone calls back, they've gone with someone else.
Invoicing, payables, compliance paperwork and quotes all land on the owner, after hours.
Nothing is written down, so nothing can be handed over. The business can't run a week without you.
More work means more of everything above. Hiring another hand doesn't fix a structure problem.
You need senior help, not another six-figure salary and a desk you can't justify yet.
I get into the day-to-day and fix things alongside you, a couple of days a week rather than five. Senior help, sized to what the business actually needs.
A fixed-fee review of how the business actually runs. You get a clear written picture of where the time and margin are going, and what to fix in what order.
Senior operations support on a monthly retainer, scaled to what you need. Some call it a fractional GM. In practice it means someone keeping the trains running on time while you get on with the work only you can do.
With the fundamentals sorted, I put the tooling in so the business runs lean without you babysitting it.
Small steps, no long commitment to find out whether it's useful.
We talk through what's actually happening in the business. No pitch, no pressure, no obligation to do anything afterwards.
A fixed fee, a defined piece of work, and a written picture of where the pressure sits and what it's costing you.
If it makes sense, ongoing support built around what the business needs. Month to month. Stop whenever it stops being useful.
Twenty-five years in management across construction, trades, property and commercial operations. I came up through steel construction and the concrete trades, led a family manufacturing and contracting business through a growth run and out the other side of the 2008 downturn, then scaled a trades business across three regional markets as GM before founding and running my own.
Along the way, technical sales into large commercial projects, contract negotiation with main contractors and suppliers, and management at every level from crew to boardroom. For the last five years I've run operations, contracts, compliance and multi-entity financial reporting for a US retail property development portfolio.
So I've been the owner buried in the work, and the operator brought in to dig a business out of it. I can talk to a site foreman and a lender in the same afternoon, and I usually see where a business is losing margin before the owner does.

Keystone Alliance is deliberately boutique. You're not buying a firm, you're buying a person who has run businesses like yours.
The person you meet on the first call is the person who does the work. Nothing gets handed down to a junior, and you never have to explain your business twice.
Some problems need a specialist, or nothing at all. I'd rather say so early than bill you for finding out slowly.
When a job genuinely needs an accountant, a bookkeeper or a marketing hand, I bring in people I've worked with and trust. That's the alliance part. You get the specialist without the agency overhead.
Thirty minutes, no charge, no pitch. Worst case you get a second opinion on something that's been bothering you.
